Someone in search of a proof that life can still be a pleasant affair, need not go further: a stay on the Riviera helps against the stress even if you do nothing more than just being there. The following - surprisingly many - pages hopefully show that. Anyway, there are no B&W images this time and because they are so colourful, they (and you) will need more time for download. The order of the images doesn't resemble the correct timeline (or anything else, for that matter), but I believe it shouldn't really affect anything.

The modestly France 4e. feuille. (France 4th sheet) titled map with Italian states, parts of Austria, east Adrian coast and Ionian Islands (in an inset) on it was published in 1816 (après Napoleon) in Paris (chez Desray), in the third edition of the Grand atlas universel, ou collection de cartes encyprotypes, générales et détaillées des cinq parties du monde. The map was edited by Adrien Hubert Brue and drawn by Eustache Herisson, both engineer-geographers of the Société Royale. Bonassola is mentioned as Bonaciola, and the old spelling of Porto Fino reminds of the Delphin Bay from the past.
